Nemesis Charity Night by Jill Campbell Mackay

The word Nemesis means ‘an opponent that cannot be beaten or overcome’. Both the word and its meaning are familiar to Paphiakos Animal Welfare, for decades we have been fighting on a daily basis to beat the combined effects on our animal population of ignorance, cruelty, and lack of resources.  So, when we were offered the chance to promote a charity event at the Nemesis venue here in Paphos we were more than prepared to take on the task of making sure we made the evening a success. Okay some minor wrinkles occurred, but nothing major and hopefully the error made by Nemesis management re the limited supply of alcoholic beverages didn’t detract from the enjoyment felt by the audience as Andrew Oliver and his tribute team took to the stage to get our feet tapping along to those classic hits live from 60’s 70’s 80’s.   Without charity evenings such as these coupled with the strong support offered by musicians and our stalwart Paphiakos helpers, we would indeed be lost, a very big thank you to everyone who supported us and lets hope our next event will also help keep our very own Nemesis at bay.

  1. Woman are beautiful creature by God hands. If you’re born as a female, you should be thankful to God
